I am from Westchester, New York and I am a communications here at Cortland. This is my first year back at Cortland after leaving my freshman year but I am really excited for this class because I have always loved reading and writing in school. My name is Stephannie, I am from Syracuse, NY. I am a non-traditional student majoring in Biology. Prior to returning to school, I worked full time as mortgage loan originator. If you know anything about the mortgage industry, it is volatile to the housing market. I decided to make a career change and, I ‘am looking forward to finishing my bachelor’s degree. In my free time I look forward to spending time with my kids. I also enjoy reading, journaling, and yoga!

I am currently a freshman at SUNY Cortland and recently just changed my major from kinesiology to adolescence education in english. Reading and writing has always come easy to me and i enjoy reading more types of literature. I live in Westchester County which is about an hour from the city. I have many outdoor trails where i take my dogs Duke and Molly. I also enjoy playing and watching different sports or hanging out with friends. This semester i am excited to rush for a sorority and going to more campus events.

Hello everyone! My name is Evan, and I am from Hampton Bays Long Island and I am in the Bio adolescent education major. I love to listen to music, surf, and hang out with friends in my free time. This is my first blog that I have written, but I am very excited to learn more about blogging. I am looking forward to the books we are reading in class and can’t wait to comment on everyone’s blogs. Hope everyone had a great break and is ready for a great spring semester. I prefer the spring semester over the fall because the weather starts out bad but gradually gets better. Hey guys i’m Audrey. I’m from Albany, NY and I’m a senior FIT major. I like to lift and I also box. I am taking this course for my gen ed but am excited for the topics in the class

My name is Zach and I am from a small town called Candor. It is in New York and it is located between Ithaca and Binghamton. I am and physical education major and I am hoping to teach this to high schoolers. I am also hoping that with this degree I could possibly coach high school athletes in either track/cross country or basketball. I am taking this course for my general education. This is just a little bit about me.

I’m a sophomore here at SUNY Cortland. My major is Biology and I’m on the pre-med track. My dream is to become a pediatric surgeon. When I’m not in school or doing my homework I spend majority of my time at SUNY Cortland EMS working as an EMT and responding to on campus emergencies. A fun fact about me is that I’m a triplet! My sister Michelle Graham is also a student her. She’s also taking ENG 252 but it’s the 11:40 class. My brother attends culinary school. Also we turn 20 this upcoming Monday on January 30!

I’m from a small town called Marathon, NY. I have lived there my whole life and I would like to raise my future children there as well. I am an Early Childhood Education(Birth-6th grade) major and after this semester, I only have two semesters left. I am taking this course because with my major I have a concentration so I picked English Language Arts/Professional Writing and I need this course to complete my concentration. I like to read novels that have powerful women as the main focus or I like romantic novels like Nicolas Sparks. One thing I want to learn from this class is to annotate and how find the most important details.

My name is Mackenzie Wiater, and I am from New Hartford, NY. I am a Junior majoring in speech and hearing science, and plan on becoming a speech language pathologist someday. One thing about myself is that I love being outdoors, so I am looking forward to this Spring semester for when the weather starts to get nice out again. I am also someone who loves to get to know new people, so I am glad to be taking a class like this where I have a good opportunity to meet new people!
